Between Kalk Bay and Simonstown, Glencairn beach is a great place to chill for the day. Silvermine is a great bite-size hike not far from the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. The Silvermine entrance is located on Ou Kaapse Weg, and is part of the Table Mountain National Park. You need to pay a grand total of 15 bucks per person to get in, then drive a bit to the hike entrance. The hike will only take you 30-45 minutes if you want to go to the lookout point.
